We housed 227 children in our residential school during the period from November 2007- April 2016. The children were mainly school drop-outs, from HIV affected families and were under various exploitation and could not able to afford education from the family atmosphere.
Initially, in support with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the children had education in our residential home itself. Later with the mainstream model, our children had mainstreamed schooling with Primary School, Porasapalayam and SBM Higher Secondary School, Namakkal. |
22 of our children from the residential home have also been selected to pursue education in RICE- Mathagondapalli Model School, next to Hosur.
This residential Home also served as a short stay care and protection center for the children referred by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Namakkal District. Till April 2016, 77 rescued children referred by Child Welfare Committee have been provided shelter in our residential home for children.
Those who want to help/sponsor the children for long term & to continue the children's education kindly contact Mr. Rajmohan, Program Manager through his email ([email protected]) for various ways to render assistance in a meaningful way.
