SCINDeA Network Activities
                                                                                                                           Safeguarding the Community

With the support of South Central India Network for Development Alternatives (SCINDeA) based at Yelagiri Hills, Tamilnadu, the following projects are being implemented at present.

1. Empowering of Community through people's participation (EcoPP).
2. Participatory Community Based Sanitation Program.

The integrated community development project is being implemented in 30 villages Pallipalayam Block in Namakkal District. The major activities include Community Health Development, Integrated child Health, Socio-Economic development for rural youth and women, Environmental health & protection, sanitation and sustainable agriculture and  eco-development & protection initiatives. These are being implemented under two folds- household and community hold approaches 

Under the participatory community based sanitation program, the major activities include the sensitisation program on clean water, sanitation and hygiene practices. Constructions of low cost household toilets are also an integrated part of the program.
